Sherwin-Williams recently announced the appointment of Seaside resident Ann Kranzush to the position of store manager for its Gearhart location.
Kranzush, a five-year employee of the store, held two other positions in the store prior to her recent promotion, effective Feb. 21. She started as a sales associate, and for the last two years has held the assistant manager post.
Tim Polley is Portland district manager for Sherwin-Willams, He has responsibility for 24 store locations, including Gearhart. Polley said Kranzush was a natural choice for the position.
"Ann conducts herself professionally, earns great customer feedback, and has worked hard to prepare herself for this position," Polley said.
Kranzush has extensive experience in the paint realm, including owning her own paint store in the area. After selling the store she took some time off but was ultimately drawn to Sherwin-Williams.
"I guess I have the paint bug," she said. She also noted Sherwin- Williams’ ability to color-match both paint and stain, something that takes experience.
Kranzush’s role as store manager includes budget management and supervision of the store’s four to six employees. The step up to overall store management was one for which Kranzush was prepared.
"I was ready for the additional responsibility," she said.
Kranzush grew up in Portland, spent some time in the Midwest, and moved to Clatsop County 17 years ago.
