New owner takes over Body & Sole

Volume 5: Issue 3 - 03/01/2010

By Greg Cohen

Dillon Pyle has taken over ownership of Body & Sole, an embroidery, screen printing and picture framing business in Tillamook.

Pyle, a Tillamook resident for the past six years, acquired the business from longtime owner Doug Henson. Pyle and his wife, Jessica, began operating the business Feb. 3.

Although this is his first foray into business ownership, Pyle said when he learned that Henson, a family friend, was interested in retiring, "I seized the opportunity" to purchase the business. He worked with the previous owner for eight months learning the business before completing the purchase.

Body & Sole offers embroidery and screen printing on shirts, uniforms and jackets for businesses, sports teams and individuals.

Pyle also has a wide selection of picture frames for those treasured photos, artwork, posters and memorabilia.

The shop also recently became the local outlet for selecting, fitting and ordering Letterman jackets for the area’s three high schools. "Before, high school students had to go to the valley to order their jackets," he said.

Body & Sole is located at 403 Main Ave. in Tillamook. Hours are Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The store’s telephone number is (503) 842-5378. He also can be reached by e-mail at dillon.pyle@yahoo.com.
