So you missed out on getting the first Atari game ever produced or you’ve played Madden NFL ‘07 so much you’ve worn it out…what to do?
Recycle Video Games can solve your problem. Owners Sean and Annie Jackson recently opened their newest store, this one in Tillamook along U.S. Highway 101.
Manager John Mandich said the store, which opened at the end of November, offers more than 1,000 used video games, as well as game systems, controllers and accessories to meet the needs of any video game junkies – no matter their age.
Mandich said the store caters to a wide assortment of customers – from pre-teens through senior adults looking to replace a Wii game.
"There’s nothing like our store anywhere between Tillamook and Astoria," he said. "In a small community like this where there’s not a lot for young people to do; video games are very popular."
Recycle Video Games carries used copies of some of the very first Atari and Nintendo games, Mandich said. The store offers a 30-day warranty on its games. Mandich said the store also has a 24-hour exchange policy, which allows a customer to test the purchase and if unsatisfied, to exchange it within 24 hours.
And if he doesn’t have a particular game in stock, Mandich said he can search the business’ three other stores, which are located in Newport, North Bend and Brookings, Ore.
Mandich said the owners, who reside in North Bend, eventually hope to add a fifth store in Astoria.
