Pacific Power, an electric utility of MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company, ranks No. 1 in the United States in overall customer satisfaction among large industrial customers of electric utilities, according to TQS Research.
In a report released in mid-August, Pacific Power led the 2009 survey rankings, with 95.2 percent of customers polled saying they were very satisfied, the highest score the company has ever achieved in the poll’s 16-year history.
Maintaining an unyielding emphasis on customer service and collaborating on best practices with two sister electric utilities – Rocky Mountain Power and MidAmerican Energy Company – have resulted in Pacific Power being ranked No. 1 in the nation among investor-owned utilities for industrial customer satisfaction, according to TQS Research.

TQS Research is an Atlanta-based independent research firm that polls key commercial and industrial customers of electric utilities for overall satisfaction. The annual TQS benchmark survey of the 60 largest utility holding companies measures performance in critical areas, such as energy efficiency, account management, reliable power, price, handling customer contacts and company image.
Additionally, MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company ranked first in the nation among holding companies in the TQS survey, with 91.9 percent of industrial customers surveyed noting they were very satisfied. Among the operating businesses of the 60 parent companies surveyed nationwide, Rocky Mountain Power ranked No. 2 in the nation among investor-owned utilities, with a very satisfied rating from 92.7 percent of its industrial customers, and MidAmerican Energy Company ranked No. 1 in the Midwest region, earning a very satisfied rating from 88.6 percent of its industrial customers.
Pacific Power is headquartered in Portland, Ore., and provides electric service to more than 724,000 customers in Oregon, Washington and California.
