Coastal Family Health Center in Astoria recently added Christine Lolich to its professional staff. Lolich started with the health center last December, in the position of clinical operations officer. She oversees nine of the center’s 18 staff members.
Coastal Family Health Center CEO Jim Coffee said Lolich’s role is to insure the clinic is operating as efficiently as it possibly can.
"Essentially her job is to help make everyone’s job more efficient," Coffee said. "Thus far Christine has astronomically exceeded my expectations," Coffee added. "I couldn’t be happier that she joined us."
Lolich has lived in Astoria for almost five years. She has been employed in emergency management for 10 years, most recently at Columbia Memorial Hospital as its E.R. manager. Prior to working for CMH Lolich worked as ER manager for Legacy Emmanuel Hospital and Health Center in Portland, Ore.
In addition to emergency management experience, Lolich has had a long career working as a nurse; she received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialty in nursing administration in 1975.
For Lolich, landing her new job has been a rewarding and fulfilling experience.
"The people are wonderful here, and it makes me feel good to ‘give back’ by helping people in need — it’s the right thing to do, and it’s self-rewarding" she said.
Coastal Family Health Center‘s mission according to its Web site is to be a leader in providing access to high quality, culturally appropriate, and comprehensive health care to all people in its service area regardless of ability to pay.
