TLC Federal Credit Union held a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony Oct. 21 for its new company headquarters and Tillamook branch, located at 1510 3rd St.
The new 24,000 sq. ft. facility houses the Tillamook branch of TLC on the first floor, the accounting and IT department for its entire operation on the second floor, and the management offices and boardroom on the third floor. There are also two spaces available for lease in the building. The first floor space is 3,163 sq. ft. and the second floor space is 3,301 sq. ft.
"The new building is the heart of all five branches and represents the vision of TLC as a local and up-to-date credit union," said June Pearson, TLC marketing director.

The building was designed by Don Tompos of BBT Architects, located in Bend, Ore., and built by S & S Construction of Tillamook.
It features a drive-up ATM, two drive-through lanes, numerous high tech security features, the data hub for TLC’s entire operation and ergonomically correct spaces for all of the 61 employees that work in the building.
"The major upgrade is that there’s a lot more space in the new building," said Mike Pierce, CEO and president of TLC. "Plus, the building is very technologically advanced with a tremendous amount of security, cash dispensing machines for the tellers and the technology to track any transaction by a TLC customer anywhere in the world."
The grand opening consisted of a ribbon cutting ceremony, food and refreshments, a door prize drawing for a Macintosh computer and guided tours of the entire facility.
The building is located next to the new county library, Safeway and Tillamook County General Hospital.
"We are really excited about our location because 3rd Street is slowly becoming a main drag in downtown with several new construction and restoration projects," said Pierce.
"This building is a culmination of five years of work by TLC to update its facilities and operation," he said. "We just celebrated our 50th anniversary, and we want to let our members, board and staff know that we have been here for 50-years and plan on being around for a lot longer."
