The Seafood Consumer Center in Astoria is looking for a new director.
The center’s most recent hire, Ellyn Lundgren, left the post this summer after joining the center staff this past spring. Lundgren replaced outgoing director Diane Moody, who left the position to move to Ireland with her husband. Lundgren moved to Astoria from Alaska to take the job.
Seafood Center Board Chairman Joe Easley said Lundgren and the board had a discussion after she had been on the job about a month and made a mutual decision to part ways.
"Now we are looking for a new director," Easley said. "Right now we have a board member - Heather Mann - who has taken over the position temporarily."
Easley said Mann resigned from the board to step in as interim director while the organization searches for a new hire.
He said the center has applicants for the position; the job opening closed Sept. 1. Center officials hope to have a new director on board by early October.
