ShoreBank expands to Seattle

Volume 3: Issue 5 - 05/01/2008

By CRBJ

ShoreBank Pacific, based in Ilwaco, is celebrating more than 10 years of environmentally sustainable community development with expansion into the Seattle market.

The Pacific Northwest financial institution is opening a sustainable banking center in Seattle’s Belltown district. The bank will open this summer in the green development, Mosler Lofts, at 2720 Third Ave.

The new 1,926 sq. ft. banking center will replace ShoreBank Pacific’s temporary offices in Georgetown.  The company already serves several like-minded local businesses such as In Harmony, an organic based landscaping service; HP Car Wash, an environmentally friendly, high performance car wash; and TriVitro, which produces recycled glass products.

ShoreBank Pacific’s new office will reflect the sensibilities of the Mosler Lofts, an acclaimed development expected to receive LEED Silver certification for its ambitious green-building standards.  The bank is collaborating on design with Waterleaf Architects, a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, and will use recycled, reclaimed and sustainable materials whenever possible.  Plans include using both salvaged and certified forest lumber, low VOC (volatile organic compounds) paint and recycled fabrics.
