Solas Massage provides solace

Volume 2: Issue 12 - 12/01/2007

By CRBJ

Andy Still offers traditional massage services at his new Solas Massage business inside Sunny Bunz on 945 South Main Ave. in Warrenton, but it is his unusual ‘spirit massage’ that gets him excited about the job.

Early on in his 13-year career as a massage therapist, Still discovered that a release of tension in the physical body can induce an emotional release as well. In a ‘spirit massage’ Still uses his own prayer and the willingness of his clients to let go of tension to guide them into a healthier, happier life.

"What I love is seeing people heal," said Still.

He studied massage at the Tri-City School of Massage in Kennewick, Wash. and recently acquired his Oregon license.

About growing his business, Still said "Word of mouth is the best." When people get up from his massage table feeling refreshed and renewed, he has fulfilled what he considers his calling.

Solas Massage offers 60 minute, 90 minute and spirit massages, cranial sacral therapy, and a salt glow that exfoliates skin. Rates are from $60 for a one hour traditional massage to $200 for the non-denominational ‘spirit massage’, which usually lasts two hours or more.
