Owners of Ruby Ranch Inn Bed & Breakfast in St. Helens are expanding their business with the addition of a steak house restaurant, which is due to open in mid-January.
Ruby Ranch Cook House at 56821 Columbia River Highway in Warren is located in the building formerly occupied by Two Brothers Restaurant.
Tess and David Tappert both have management experience in the restaurant industry, Tess Tappert told Coast River Business Journal.
The Cook House will employ a staff of 20.
She said the restaurant’s menu will lean heavily on beef as the main entrée, including steaks and burgers. There also will be pasta dishes. Many of the dishes will be prepared at the table.
The 110-seat restaurant, which also will serve a full breakfast menu, will be decorated in an "old barn" motif, she said.
Restaurant hours will be Sunday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling (503) 397-9740.
