After more three years without a tenant, the old Bayfront Bakery space in Wheeler, is home to Creekside Catering.
Owner Sue Wilson offers fresh-baked goods, made at the Bayfront Bakery in Garibaldi, including fritters, cinnamon twists, doughnuts, maple bars and cookies. She also serves salads and deli sandwiches, using Bayfront Bakery breads.
The catering aspect of the business takes food considerably further.
"It can be as casual as a platter of sandwiches for a working lunch, for instance, or as formal as a sit-down dinner with Lobster Thermador," said Wilson.
A paralegal for 26 years, and a longtime Portland resident, Wilson is enjoying the slower pace of coastal life.
"I spent a lot of years of my life working for a living, and now I’m working for fun," she said.
